IDEAS CLICK!!!

I am a teacher.. i teach the students how to write well.. it's always easy to write about the things that we see around us.. the enviornment, the scenes, the sounds we hear, everythg around us stimulates our thoughts and we pen them down whenever we find a pen and a paper. But wat if someones is toatlly blank? Someone, who does not like to go out and see the world around? Someone who is so self centered that the world does not exist beyond his own self? If such a person is asked to write, what wud he write about? Firstly.. would he agree on expressing his views.. fortunately, if he does.. what are the thoughts that might churn into his mind? Will he be troubled? or just stay blank?

Why this struck me? Writing about poeple who do not like to express? Well it came to my mind when I took a creative writing test in my class... some of them wrote very well... some were average.. and some gave me a blank sheet.Did they not like the topic? Or they did not know how to appoach the theme? Or they were simply DISINTERESTED? Yes!! some of them actually were...... disinterested.

These are only small school kids.. why would they be bothered about various things that happen in our world? till they get seventeen, India expects nothing out of them.

But what after that? Will these adults then be in a pisition to react? Someone faints, someone meets with an acident, someone gets killed... will they ever stop thier carS n get out to help the poeple in need? Or they will just pass by... thinking the same old thing...that if one sets out to help the needy he himself might get caught in the web...

Peope the get used to not reacting ... not now... never ever..

whose fault is it? the poeple? or the authority, the education system of our country? its a vicious circle....
is it?
i think not...
who made the system? WE, THE POEPLE OF INDIA.
who can, then, change the system? WE, THE POEPLE OF INDIA.
we should all learn to react... the beginners might be called the Jimmy Porters and Albert Pintos but we need to show the world...that Osborne is not dead!!
If we dont react and take action ... we will actually make our lives a vicious circle... and we will never come out of it.
NOT NOW.. NEVER EVER

poeple come into ur life for a reason...

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When
you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When
someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you
have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to
provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically,
emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are
there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing
on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do
something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die.
Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire
fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and
now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has
come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or
make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They
usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real .
But only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must
build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to
accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use
in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love
is blind but friendship is clairvoyant

this article is dedicated to all my special poeple in my life... u all r special.. whether u stay for a reason, a season or a lifetime....

MALE FEMINISM.

We all have heard of FEMINISM. We all know what it is all about. Well.. just for the sake of introduction... Feminism alludes to that theory which speaks for the rights of a female. The feminist theory developed majorly in ENGLAND in the 20th century. Its precursor in England was the ever famous fiction writer VIRGINIA WOLF. Feminism voices the emotions and aspirations of the subverted female in the society. It reverts the authority of patriarchy and establishes new rules for itself and for the betterment of the suppressed woman. Before the 20th century, it was MARY WOLLSTONECRAFT in the 18th century England who voiced and defended the subverted sex. However, Feminism has come a long way. Now it has been established as a permanent discourse of studies to assess the development of a society. Many theories have sprung from it, like Lesbianism, Homosexuality and Gay Literature, Queer Theory etc. But one of its fields fascinate me the most. That is, MALE FEMINISM. Its not as complicated an issue as it seems by its name but its quite amusing though, as men have always tried to suppress the females in the society. Yet, a concept like Male Feminism exists. This article revisits the issue of male experience and its possible relationship to gender politics. Traditionally, feminism has viewed male experience as representing a bar to the development of feminist knowledge and consciousness. This conceptualization of male experience continues to inform the contemporary debate on male feminism. I would like to argue that this experiential bar emerges from a theorization of male experience as singular, fixed, and organic. Challenging this conceptualization, the article retheorizes male experience as a diverse, shifting, and contested category that produces different political outcomes. Through an analysis of men’s group discourse,I would like to illustrate how particular interpretations of male experience produce both feminist and antifeminist effects. Further, Feminism examines male experience as a multifaceted category that can act as the material upon which male feminist resistance operates. Feminist studies debunk the idea of a female figure created by a male centered viewpoint.Hence, it creates and forster a cultural feminist world of its own.

Coming back to Male Feminism, this movement consists of pro feminist modern men who feel synpathetic towards Feminism. Pro Feminist men seek to add thier voices to feminism and advocate change by men in thier gender relations, social political and institutional structures. Pro Feminists campaign against violence against women and sexism. There have been many famous works on Pro Feminism including Stoltenberg's "refusing to be a man". Pro Feminists believe in an egalitarian society and believe that women suffer from inequalities in the society while men recieve various forms of power and priviledge. Masculinity is oppressive to women and social changes are to be made in this direction.

Why i find this theory amusing is that although it supports feminists yet, it is as flawed as the feminist thoery itself. The biases that exist within the feminist world are on the basis of caste, race, color, creed etc while there is substancial diversity and disagreement in the pro feminist perspectives. While men are also harmed of the societal gender relations, some men emphasize the priviledge recieved by virtue of bieng men in a patriarchal or a male dominated society. Some go to the extent of accusing both men and women constricted of the gender rules.

However, it is terribly diificult to be a non biased thinker but the extent to which i have tried i can now say.. that some of the male feminists are right! We females are so much bound by those old assingned rules that half of the females have got used to it by now. They are not even aware of thier rights.. moreover, even if they are... they would not want to come out of thier husband's shadow..And what's more, hardly can one see, in today's world...one female supporting the other. There is an ongoing struggle within the feminist structure that we encounter even now when we women have established a room of our own. This would only lead an unbaised female like me to praise those men who support feminist ideals in their true spirit.. and this makes me an anti feminist too in a sense.
Male Feminists claim to be anti sexist, anti patriarchy, but not anti male. They see men with good potential and beleive that men must act to dismantle gender injustice.

I believe that truth comes out when all sides of the story are put together and the whole truth is what i am after! and according to me.. the truth is... that there is a genuine desire needed to build a society of men and women both, who first aim to amend the gaps and fissures that exist within feminist culture and secondly, encourage each other to live up by those ideals.

indian mindset

A few days back, at my usual time.. i was reading the newspaper. I came across this article which talked abt a few muslim students who refused to accept food cooked by a dalit woman. I just ask a simple question which came into my mind at that time also.. WHY? After all the dalit woman is also a human bieng. If she does not find a problem with the fact that she has to cook for muslim children then why are these takers creating a problem. They are not even bieng baised but also effecting the emotional setup and financial position of dalit female. A few more days that these students dont accept food from her, this lady will be chucked out of the school canteen. She will then have no means to earn her living, her poor family might get into ruins also. And in any case that female is not going to add poison in the food just because the takers are muslims? Is she? NO! Furthermore, the parents and teachers are to be blamed. These kids are just 8-9 yrs old. How come they have the knowledge of hindu, muslim ,dalit ,christian disparities. Or even the politics of india at this age. Even if they are behaving in this manner it is the responsibility of the teachers to discourage the students to bahave in this manner. We need to understand that india is heading towards globalisation very fast. Overall development is possible if all of ur are together. If such prejudices are encouraged at the grass root level, where will the next generation be? And if we leave this peice of news n think for a few minutes.. dt we always do this? biased viewpoints!! towards the lower casts.. the other sects... this is the indian mind set which is to be changed! THINK!
